Recipe: Pulut Sekaya

I never thought I would cook the Pulut Sekaya or Seri Muka coz' I'm not the big fan of glutinous rice and sekaya. But than, semenjak dua-menjak nie kena angin England, teringin pulak nak makan . Hence I called my mom begging for her famous Pulut Sekaya recipe.

Ingredients for the low-level (pulut):
Glutinous - 2 cups
Coconut milk -2 cups
Salt to taste.

1. Wash the glutinous rice.
2. Mix with coconut milk and salt.
3. Stim for abt 45mins

Ingredients for the upper-level (sekaya):
Medium eggs - 2
Sugar - 11 tsps
Coconut Milk - 2 cups
Flour - 2 tsps
Bunga Lawang - 1 kelopak
KK Manis - 1cm
Salt to taste.
Pandan leaves - 5 or Green Food Colouring - 1/2 tsp.

1. Beat egg with sugar.
2. Pound bunga lawang and KK manis together with pandan. Mix with coconut milk and flour.
3. Filter the mixture in (2) into (1).
4. Add a little bit of salt and green food coloring.
5. Pour the ingredients on top of cooked glutinous rice.
6. Let it stim ard 15-10mins.
